Dermatomyositis with pulmonary involvement
Radiograph and CT study of a 48-year old patient with pulmonary involvement in dermatomyositis. There are patchy consolidations and frosted-glass opacities, predominantly basal, as in organising pneumonia.
Myositis with diaphragmatic involvement
Radiograph and CT study of a 68-year old patient with known myositis. The radiograph demonstrates a marked volume reduction of both lungs with elevated diaphragm. The CT study reveals marked hypoventilation with basal atelectases indicating involvement of the diaphragm.
Dermatomyositis with pulmonary fibrosis
Radiograph and CT study of a 53-year old patient with pulmonary involvement in polymyositis. Especially basal and subpleural fine fibrosing changes with formation of traction bronchiectasis as in NSIP.
