Lymphangioleiomyomatosis with a spontaneous pneumothorax
CT in a 43-year-old woman with lymphangioleiomyomatosis shows an advanced stage of disease with extensive thin-walled cysts that have largely replaced the parenchyma. A small pneumothorax is also present on both sides.

While the chest radiograph shows no abnormalities of the lung parenchyma, CT demonstrates multiple thin-walled cysts surrounded by normal lung parenchyma. An encapsulated pneumothorax is visible along the left interlobar fissure.
