Pulmonary Graft versus Host Reaction (GvHR)
Radiograph and CT of a 25-year-old male patient with AML and graft-versus-host reaction following bone marrow transplantation. The chest radiograph is virtually unremarkable except for hyperinflation of both lungs. CT shows evidence of marked hyperinflation especially of the lower lobes of both lungs. The vessels in the affected areas are normal in caliber and the bronchi uniformly dilated, consistent with cylindrical bronchiectasis (b, c). Small nodular changes conforming to a tree-in-bud pattern are also seen at the basal aspect of the upper lobe of the right lung.
