Lung Sequestration (BPS)
Radiograph and CT of a 68-year-old male patient with intralobar sequestration in the lower lobe of the right lung. The chest radiograph shows a smoothly defined mass lesion in the lower lobe of the right lung. This was confirmed on CT, which also demonstrated hypertranslucency of the adjacent lung parenchyma (b). A large arterial branch arising from the thoracic aorta is seen supplying the lesion (d). The sequestration is encased within the same pleural covering and is therefore intralobar.
